Fitness and Financial Gains: The Universe Never Sleeps. 

Have you ever felt like you hit the flattest plateau? Like  were stagnant like feet solidified in cement? Well that’s how I’d been feeling For months Before Fitness and Financial Gains reached out to have me, ME, Coach a runway workshop for their event!! 

Here’s the story.  

I’d been in hiding. I hadn’t been social with anyone. I hadn’t been actively casting.  I hadn’t even updated my social media in about 4 months! That is completely abnormal for me. But I just needed a long hard reboot. I STILL wasn’t ready to reboot…but here comes Jessyka Castillo (@jessykathemodel) sliding in my DM’s, “Hello Kaye! Soooo many ppl have suggested I reach out to you for runway coaching. I’m the Founder / CEO of @fitnessfinancialgains 

I’m hosting a model fit event Dec 2 and would love to inquire about your services. Do you have time for a call tomorrow ?” 🙄 I was lacklusterIy excited when I got the DM and I was letting my funky stankin attitude take over my true excitement. (Was it depression? Maybe.) I think she thought I was being evasive because I wasn’t responding right away…but she was persistent and standing on business.

She kept wanting to get in a call. Ugh. Why? Let’s just put this thing together and just do it. Lol. Andre 3000 had just dropped his new album. I had it playing out loud while sitting outside in the sticks of Georgia, with my feet in the grass grounding, listening to the wind trying to find my feeling. Trying to find my “why” again. (Most creatives do this.) And she called. The multiverse wasn’t playing with my ass that day.  Or with this entire experience. It sent me her persistence and tenacity to me to get my ass up and remember who I am, what I do for people on a mental and spiritual level, and how good I am at doing it. 

I pushed a little. Jessyka pushed ALOT. She was pushing ME to push! And push we did! But with all the promotion, we still weren’t sure if the turn out…and that sent me back into a quick tizzy. But the Multiverse brought me the answers I needed. “Despite the turnout and other details discussed…this is your passion and part of your purpose. Do what you love and go be great!” 

When adversity hits, Trusting the process is vital when you’re walking in your truth, your passion, and your purpose. Sometimes it’s not going to make sense. Sometimes it’s going to be hurtful. And sometimes you’re just going to want to cry. 

When I got out of my ego and changed my mindset to allow the Multiverse to do what it does…my stress and tension released and the turnout was perfect. I couldn’t have asked for a better group of women at that time. Tiffani, Shelby, Michelle, Catalina, Shade, Sammi, Nia, Jackie, Jerica, and Sarah … Thank you.
