Joel Alvarez’s Black Tape Project. The Black Tape Project was created by Artist Joel Alvarez, a first-generation American Born Cuban immigrant. His work has been seen in countless magazines and in music videos around the world. His runway show in Miami during Swim Week is one of the most sought-after and popular fashion shows. His wear-once-taped Bikini Swimwear is spectacular.
I am always down to do some crazy liberating things….BUT…This by far was one of the raciest shows I’ve ever done in my life!
I was taped by The King of Tape himself, Joel Alvarez!! Maybe a felt a little honored. Lol.
How did I get there?? Well, I was the assistant casting director for another designer For Art Hearts Fashion at the new Strawberry Moon Hotel down in South Beach Miami. So I was there in the “designer” capacity. He looked me up and down and said…”You gotta do more than just be casting. Do you model?” I was actually kind of shocked he spoke. “Yeah. I model”, Ii said. He replied so matter of factly, “GOOD! You’re walking in my show.” I was stunned but still cool and said, “Aight. Bet.” I was really floored because girls from all over the world would do almost ANYTHING to walk for this brand. And here I am…just chosen!

Well, the answer to question #1:
Yes, the vagína gets taped…But, I put the base tape there myself.
Question #2:
Yes, he is very respectful of the woman’s body and does not do anything violating. I mean, a brand that big? That’s a huge name to protect.
Question#3:
How am I so confident? I love the hell out of myself and am proud of myself.
Question #4:
Does it hurt coming off? Lol. A little. It’s all dependent on your pain tolerance level. I would definitely recommend not having hair anywhere. Lol.
So many beautiful women who love themselves, and other respectful humans…Would I do it again??? In a heartbeat!!
